Belly dance instruction by Lorelie Carvey. Beginners learn to belly dance with Lorelie in Danbury Connecticut at A Common Ground Studio. Lorelie teaches under the guidance and direction of Dolores, "Riskallah Riyad."

Belly Dancing has changed my life. It is not the actual act of belly dancing, but the fun and the self expression. It is a whole change in mindset, I have made many changes in my life and attitude since "accidentally" signing up for bellydance. Belly dancing has taught me that "YES I CAN DO IT" I just have to try!"

On this page you will find answers to some of your questions and links to sites that are belly dance related.

For Saturday morning belly dance  class, I will list music and steps that we do in class so that you can print them out and use them for practice at home. The steps here are not considered a choreography. They are drills to fun music, and combinations of moves learned in this particular class. As you continue studying Middle Eastern Dance you will advance to learning choreography with Dolores," Riskallah Riyad." Dolores is an expert choreographer who has over 30 years of experience with dance. For more information on choreographic workshops with Dolores,  go to her workshops page.
