Get Back on the Band Wagon

Get back on the band wagon (Or the treadmill would be more appropriate in this case.)
Everyone falls off the wagon occasionally for one reason or another, whether it be an injury, motivational issue or just plain old tired.
It happens to all of us even Personal Trainers!
"Personal trainers need personal trainers sometimes."

My clients are a source of motivation for me. I see their dedication and watch them work through incredible odds to reach their goals. Their is no excuse short of a medical reason for not doing it.

Even if you are very active with other physical activities (in my case belly dancing until I practically drop), it just isn't enough to build or maintain important muscle mass. Dancing is GREAT for core strengthening, flexibility, balance, agility and confidence building, but it does not BUILD enough muscle. It takes progressive strength training to do that. This doesn't mean that you have to have huge muscles but building them to the point where they are helping your body to burn calories and then maintaining them is what it's about.

It's so important to make physical fitness a part of our lives. It feels so good to be fit and so bad not to be. When you are feeling physically good it reflects in your whole being. This is not something that you haven't heard already, it's just a gentle reminder that it's time to start working out if you are not already.

The fat WILL start to creep up on to your once fit body if you do not maintain your fat burning muscle.
The fat will start to be leave your body if you incorporate weight training in combination with an aerobics and sensible eating program...

Ok are you ready for this. I have found a new fun way to do cardio. Well maybe its not new, we all did it as kids. Skipping! I usually do it only in the privacy of my home on a treadmill, but lately I have incorporated it into my jog walks out in my neighborhood, which I will now call my jog, walk, skip. You sort of need music for this, or at least I do. And its not easy to keep it up for the entire time, so if you just alternate between, walk, jog and skipping, you will get a great and fun workout. It feels silly at first, you may actually feel like a kid again.....But thats sort of the point right? To feel young again. Dancing can make you feel that way too.
